Service Standards

We have a commitment to respond to 75% of all correspondence (whether by letter, email or fax) within three working days.
Central Finance Board and other unit based investments are re-valued and interest is added to trusts on a monthly basis (CFB unit fund dividends are paid quarterly, in October, January, April and July).
It is our practice to send an acknowledgement letter, along with a statement for the period, for any monies received for particular trusts early in the following month.
Managing trustees may request statements at any time during the year and we will return one to them either by return of post or via email.
If a trust has not received any additional money during the year, managing trustees will only receive the Annual Statement via the Superintendent Minister during September after the close of the Connexional Year.
The Board meets its administrative costs by charges against funds it holds as custodian, currently 0.155% of the value of the trust holdings to raise approximately one half of its costs. The Board also has an accumulated reserve which, by direction of the Conference, it draws upon to meet the remainder of the cost of its services. As the Board contains its costs, the level of charges will be continually reviewed and any savings passed on to the managing trustees.
TMCP currently has 8,913 active trusts. These trusts have a value of £255m. This year the office received and processed £38.6m and paid out £28.8m. In June 2008 alone, the legal staff handled around 380 telephone enquiries and sent out 600 letters. On average the finance staff provides a 91% turnaround of post within 10 working days.
Copies of the audited accounts are available on request by post, enclosing an A4 SAE or to download as a PDF file (70k).
