Our 20th Birthday Celebrations:
We used the set of 20 laminated posters to make an attractive display. The celebration went really well and was a very happy occasion. We had almost 70 people (quite a challenge in our little Circuit!) and the meal was followed by a ‘concert’. Like the tables for the meal, this had the theme of different months of the year and was definitely an ‘all-age’ event, with people from 7 to 87 taking part! We had some beautiful harp, trumpet and jazz piano by 3 young people as well as action songs by children, poems, songs and piano solo by adults…..Our cake was beautiful – we are fortunate that a professional caterer, who has won prizes for his cake decorating, moved into our Circuit recently. He was able to use the logo to decorate the 2 cakes, made by one of our Network members, now in her 80s and able to do less that she used to – but still baking cakes to die for! A visitor to the party from an adjoining Circuit happened to be 70 on the very day of the party, so we asked her to cut the cake. She was delighted, and told us that never in her life had she had the opportunity to ‘cut the cake’ – so it was a very good moment!

A bonus was that we raised about £300 for Women's Network.
