Trustees For Methodist Church Purposes

The 'Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes (TMCP) is a "Body Corporate" constituted under the Methodist Church Act 1939 to hold legacies, endowments and accumulated funds for and on behalf of local trustees of the Methodist Church.

Together with our predecessor Boards in the Wesleyan and primitive Churches we have a long history of over 150 years.

TMCP works in close association with the connexional colleagues in the Resourcing Mission Office (The Methodist Property Office and Local Mission & Unity) in all matters relating to property schemes and other financial matters.

The Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and staff working together as Trustees For Methodist Church Purposes.		TMCP deals with both the legal issues and financial issues relating to Methodist Church property and bequests.


Ethical Investing		Service Standards

The Board has an Ethical Investing Policy, adopted on 19th May 2004. This Policy applies only to those Funds and Trusts for which the Board has a managing trustee responsibility.		Responding to correspondence, meeting the administrative costs, achieving targets and passing the benefits back to the managing trustees.
