Suggestions from Sheffield

Wisewood Methodist Church holds a prayer meeting every Saturday and Sunday, often using articles in newspapers to prompt prayers of thanksgiving, worship and intercession. Sometimes it has been found helpful to use the ohp to illustrate intercessory prayers.

A member of the prayer group takes photographs of local beauty spots, makes them into cards which the prayer group sign and add helpful words before they are given or sent to people for encouragement.

On Sundays members use the Plan to pray for ministers, local preachers and the individual needs of their local churches and congregations.

A Prayer Book with contributions written by both adults and children is often used by local schools for special services.
